ABOUT ABOUT

AJ Jansen

Talented, Edgy, Driven, an award winning singer/songwriter from the National American Country Music Association-International Female Horizon vocalist of the year, and Connecticut Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year

Singer/Songwriter, AJ Jansen, whose style and voice have been compared to Jewel, Shania Twain, and Stevie Nicks, just to name a few, grew up in the Northwest Hills of New England, and was influenced by music at an early age. Music to AJ is the most beautiful sound she's ever heard, and the artist loves everything from the original sounds of Tammy Wynette, to the unpredictable mutations of Rock & Roll; it is these genres that crafted the young singer/songwriter. Music to AJ is about bringing the old influences of her Country and Rock roots and giving them new meaning with her own sound.

Growing up in New England and transitioning to Nashville was easy, as she came to Nashville like a breath of fresh air; something new and different, a unique way of music and songwriting ideas that still encompass the traditions of Country and Rock. AJ starting performing at age 6 and writing at age 10; she has written over 200 songs. At age 18 she performed for the first time to an audience of 500, after that, 3000, and the numbers increased as her career took off. She has released 4 CDs and is receiving rave reviews by national magazines. She has appeared on various television programs, featured twice in Country Music Weekly, M Music Magazine and various Radio Programs. She has been a regular featured artist at Mohegan Sun Casino, working with artists such as Phil Vasser.

She continues to promote her music, and lives between Connecticut and Nashville and is a member of the CMA and IEBA organizations. In addition, AJ has performed and directed her musical Tribute Show,  “Outlaw Women of Country” in many Theaters up and down the East Coast.

She hopes to someday grace the Grand Ole Opry. Music is her passion, and a dream come true every time she hits the stage.

Special Guest:  Julia Autumn Ford

Though young and newly emerging to the music scene, Julia has already made quite a name for herself. After her first time stepping off-stage, she developed a passion for connecting and relating with people through music, inspiring them with her thoughts and enlightening them with a positive perspective.

With her debut self-titled EP released in October of 2014, her old soul takes the listener on a steep and heartbreaking yet hopeful and exhilarating journey through paths we have all once walked. Paths in which Julia’s lyrics combined with soulful melodies and vocals shed an optimistic light upon. Winner of Infinity Music Hall Big Stage Competition and recent nominee in CT Music Awards Best New Artist, Julia Autumn Ford has been compared to the female John Mayer, young Jewel, many different species of birds, and a mix between Shakira and Fergie.
